Thanks to last year's fundraisers and a $1,500 grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, we were able to present a check for $1,400 to each of our three local food pantries: Chestertown, Horicon, and Schroon Lake. Thank you for your support!
UPCOMING EVENTS
Bible Launch!
July 13 and 20, 10-noon
No, we’re not sending the Word of God careening through the air. We are, however, sending our children on a voyage into God’s Word. Those completing 1st and 2nd grade are brought together with their parents to learn the basics of the Bible in an engaging way. This is a two-session class: Saturday, July 13th and 20th from 10 am to 12 noon. It meets at the conference center at the former SonRise Lutheran Ministries property, 8260 Rt. 9 in Pottersville. Bibles are free of charge (for the first 10 registrants). Please register by June 29th here or by calling 494-4077.

Pentecost
May 19-November 24
Pentecost is the longest season in the Church Year, stretching over about 6 months. While there is no special focus for Pentecost, its Green color reminds us of our growth in the Holy Spirit, our need for Christian fellowship, and our mission to reach our community with God's love. Pentecost continues until the beginning of Advent, four weeks before Christmas.
